The California
weather is basically half tropical, although it varies
significantly from a place to another. It has barren deserts
in great part of the south and east extremities. In the
north it prevails a very pleasant temperature with colder
alpine weather in the higher zones.
The temperature is pleasant throughout the year in most
of the coast. The breeze of the Ocean Pacific moderates
the heat in the summer and maintains winters mild. The
temperature is around 30°C during the summer, arriving
to 15°C during the winter. San Francisco and the North
part of the state normally has temperatures a little colder.
While more to north - specially in the Sierra Nevada Mountains-,
weather can be very cold and with abundant snow falls,
that sometimes reach the 15 meters of depth. The desert
is intensely hot during the summer, with temperatures
often raising beyond 40°C. It gets a little more tolerable
during the winter months, when the temperatures lower
to not more of 20°C.
